THIS GIG WAS SO AWESOME THAT THERE ARE NO OTHER WORDS TO DESCRIBE IT.
There was some serious panic about the queue, no one seemed to know where it was or how it was meant to go or anything! I don't think I can say thank you enough to Ryan and Emily for letting us in early, it really made our day!
I was pleasantly surprised first at how big the Koko was, and then by the fact that it was pretty busy. The band were all on top form, really in to the songs and playing up to the crowd it seemed. Did anyone else find it weirdly cold in there?! I'm really enjoying the Graham Nash cover added in to the set, and of course the Tom Petty one too!
I got the guitar pick thrown out at the end of the show, which is now in the loving hands of Sarah! <3
It was cool to meet Emily, she's great and we can definitely trust that Brendan will be in safe hands!

I doubt that very much in UK, given there's a picture of it on Google Earth and this site has photographs of all London tube stations. www.londonstation.com/] In fact there is nothing in UK law preventing you taking a picture in a public place so even if the underground itself is technically private there's nothing to stop you taking a photo of the outside or any other public building in London. Uh, the only real response I can give to this is... I've SEEN it happen. Lol. I was talking about taking photos inside a station and I never said it was impossible, just that you're not supposed to. There are obvious risks such as being able to map the area for a bomb or something??

Anyways, RE: The gig. AMAZING. It was so much fun, all the silly things that happened like Brendan mirroring Jared as he was playing and walking backwards, yet Jared had no idea he was doing it, LOL. Brendan whispering in Mark's ear and then completely missing half the words to a line in the song he was singing, hehehe!! Brendan looking like he was going to snog Jared, hahahaa!! Brad appearing like the Genie from Aladdin at one point, LOLBAGS. So many good times. I LOVE Mark's glass slide! I was mesmerized when he was playing, just wish he'd step back from the keys a bit so we could see better Brilliant, AMAZING gig <3

agreed that it was an awesome venue, which did become a bit to cold to enjoy by the end... I loved the onstage banter, and Bb saying how sentimental he was. The band really seem tight... *smiles*.. all round thumbs up.. very nice to meet the BBteam and know that our beloved Bb is in good hands... I have videos up on my youtube although must warn again how poor the sound is: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXW3lvY7Dac

The venue was incredible, and i was proud for Brendan at how busy it was too. Yeah t'was a bit chilly in there......after the hot pigs had gone....LOL. (Anyone apart from us lot notice the warm bacon scented air blasing occasionally from under the stage before Brendan etc came on? Haha) But the band were awesome, it was an amazing night. Loved Graham Nash's "Better Days" again, Brendan sounds amazing when he sings this, and as always Tom Petty's "Listen To Her Heart" was amazing too. Would have loved to have heard "Me Just Purely" on one of the days. But the set list was great, as always! And Brendan's plectrum is now safely tucked into a convenient 'pick pocket' i found in my bag. ;D

Yeah a great gig on Friday.
Sixth time I've seen BB perform and he seems to get better every time. Band seems tighter than previous line ups too.
Would have liked to hear Feel Like Myself but was pleased Alternative To Love popped up again.
Anyone know if a cover of the Tom Petty track is available to download anywhere?

Great gig! Band were superb, Mark is my new hero, I was stood right in front of him - he can do so many things at once! hmmmm........ still would have loved Gold into Straw or What, but no complaints about set list I think we got some real treats, most notably for us was Crosseyed! Can't wait til he's here again!

folksinger: www.sendspace.com/file/r26fp9This is from a show in Philadelphia, 7th Dec 2009 DUDE. I forgot about this. Did anyone see Brad throw his drumstick in the air, catch it and then carry on playing? It was AWESOME! I must have been stood gawking like an idiot because it was so impressive!

I don't think I can say thank you enough to Ryan and Emily for letting us in early, it really made our day! I got a great place right at the front too! Brilliant concert -and my daughter now thinks Mark is 'hot'! Note to the management and security though - if there are fans in the queue that need to be pushed aside to let others further back in first, it could be handled a little better next time.

Yeah, it was a little confusing. I think the whole opening of doors thing freaked you guys out, and maybe though it was general admission time. To be honest, anyone would have done the same so I don't reeeally think it was handled badly

Ack, yeah that was a stressful time!! To be fair on them, I think there must have been some problems/stress backstage as the doors opening time was pushed back... plus the queue at the KOKO had an EPIC barrier that didn't let people in or out except from the back and we were only told what was going on after doors were supposed to open so I'm inclined to blame it on the venue.
I don't know about you guys but we were so confused when we went in as to how to get down onto the floor from the balcony... beautiful venue though!!
Folksinger - yeah we were saying that the band looked so great together that night, playing off one another. We'd not really seen that before KOKO.
Strawintogold - Mark <3 He is one of the lovliest human beings in existence!! Have you heard his solo stuff??

If it makes you feel any better about the queue problem, when I was 16 and obsessed with Evanescence, my friends and I lined up at 6 am for a 7 pm door time. Around 5:30 pm, the venue pushed the line two blocks away, let people in front of us who had arrived around 5 pm and then, when doors opened, moved a gate and told us all to run for it. I do not recommend. I've heard such amazing things about all of you from Emily and Brendan's crew. Brendan's a lucky dude to have such incredible fans
