Hey all y'all, This will be officially announced tomorrow but wanted to give you guys the first heads up --- Many of you have asked for Brendan posters. Well, ask and you shall receive. We are turning to you, the fans, for a design. The only requirements are that it looks rad and that your submission is high res enough to be blown up to poster-size. Entries are due in to info at whitesmithent dot com by 11:59 PM Eastern time on April 29th. From April 30th until 11:59 PM Eastern time on May 15th, fans will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite designs on the fan forum. The top five vote-getters will go to Brendan and he will pick the final winner. You can download assets from Brendan's Flickr account here: www.flickr.com/photos/brendanbenson. The winner will receive a copy of the poster personalized by Brendan and a gift certificate to the webstore. Still have questions? Send them to us here: info at whitesmithent dot com. Best of luck!

Ahhh! Sorry about the link. Here you go: www.flickr.com/photos/brendanbenson. Looks like the forum added the "." at the end of the sentence into the link. Resolution should be at least 150 dpi for the printers. I'm not sure how large we will have these printed. Most likely either 11" x 17" or 16" x 20". As long as it's 150 dpi, you should be okay. Multiple designs are fine! Enter as many times as you'd like.

That's exciting! So, the poster is for his tour or what? What information do you need on it?

It's an all purposes Brendan poster, not for tour or an album or anything. The design is really completely up to you otherwise. Think of what you'd want to buy as a fan and roll with it.

Thank you for the quick reply, Katrina. I have a couple more questions:
1) Are we allowed to use the photos from his MySpace also, or just the ones from Flickr?
2) What format do you need the design to be saved as?
More questions may come later. Thanks in advance!

1. Use photos from wherever, as long as the whole poster meets the 120 dpi absolute minimum.
2. You can send it over in jpeg or whatever works best for you. The poster printing people take almost any format and if we need it tweaked, I'll let you know or re-save on my end.

Katrina - Thank you again!
mudyjoon - dpi stands for dots per inch. It is a measure of the resolution of a printer.

urg, my submission's final product is so not how I imagined it, I just kept trying to keep it real and simply connected to the tangable realness I feel when experiencing Brendans performances.. what it ended up looking like is something a bit generic:( oh well..
what this comp. has done is to ignited a sleeping passion of mine to create images that provoke emotion... iow ART.. haha *facepalm*
