Anyone going to Glasgow in March? Have you been to the QMU before? What's the venue like?

I've got a ticket for the show, but not sure if work commitments are going to interfere:&

I feel like I spend too much time in Glasgow. Maybe this time we can ACTUALLY go to the karaoke bar?!

I know right! I've been three times now, for three gigs! This will be my fourth... at least we're getting to know the place now! I love that noodle bar

Ooh yeah, although i didn't get food there last time can we go there again? Lol. Although i just googled the venue, its pretty far away from that area. I soo wish we'd got to go to that bar!
Anyway, 900 capacity, QMU, we're going up in the world slightly.

I'm going, and given that I go to Glasgow Uni it's home territory for me. ;D
I would've gone to his gig at the Oran Mor last year, but first I heard of it was a bloody gig review the day after. Was so gutted.

No way? That sucks! The Oran Mor is beautiful! Being a Brendan fan has taken me all over the country to places I would never have seen - God I love music.
Brendan's new management are doing a great job of getting Brendan's name and gig details out more so hopefully something like that won't happen again!
Have you been to a gig at the QMU? What's it like?

Not been to a proper gig, but saw the Foundations there as the QM's Xmas shindig for the GU students, and the atmosphere was awesome. Then again it was full of drunken students apres-exams.

Hey guys,
I know a bunch of you were planning on going to this show. As a heads up, they moved the show from the QMU to ABC2. It's a little more than a kilometer away.

Thanks for letting us know, Katrina!
So some quick googling has revealed that ABC2 has a much smaller capacity? Interesting!

Indeed, thanks for letting us know!
That's weird about the capacity, Glasgow last time was easily one of the busiest gigs in October!

Thanks Katrina - just been told by my boyfriend who was very excited that he'd given me brand new information on Brendan, haha! Apparently I was the last to know!
Last time Glasgow was one of the only places with a queue and loads of people asked us what time Brendan was on/if there were any tickets left. Obviously everyone came out then, instead of this time. What? Always go to both. Always. Hehe.

It wasn't our call, unfortunately. Even more unfortunately, it's a no under 14s show so I have a few bummed out little kids. Just think of it as more cozy?

Oh, don't get me wrong, I love smaller venues!! I'm very much looking forward to it. It's just less money/exposure for Brendan that's a shame... and of course the under 14s

Cheers for this, probably wouldn't have found out otherwise. Cue arriving at the QMU and then having to bolt it back into the city centre. I like ABC2, it's probably my second favourite small venue in Glasgow behind King Tuts, was there on Thursday for a mate of mine's band's last gig, and it was an absolute stormer. Better to have a packed small venue than a bigger one that's half empty, tbh.
