Ya me too. i was at the gig in cork in march. it was brilliant. does anybody know if these shows are acoustic or with a full band. just curious. cant wait Totally delayed reaction (sorry!) but they're all duo shows with Mark. So pretty acoustic, but probably not 100%.

Ooh, Ireland is SO sooon!! Who's going to what shows? We have to set off at 5.30am to make our Ferry across to Belfast! Then we're going straight to a show, no stops at a hotel first. It's gonna be a long day!!

Saw him cavan last night, it was great! Felt really special and unique and slightly surreal! Couldn't believe I was seeing Brendan in such an intimate venue and in my hometown! He sounded great to, loved the new stuff and the songs of Lapalco and One Mississippi were amazing. The arrangement of tiny spark was great. There were some slightly annoying teenagers beside me who chatted through out, I think were only there as they believed being at a Brendan Benson gig would make them "cool" rather than for a love of his music but musn't grumble it was a great night. Got a signed tour poster too! Going to catch a couple more of the shows on this tour

We're having an amaaaazing time! Started off in Warrenpoint (Warrington! Lols!) which was a great show but we'd been up since 4am! Then Dundalk (Part One) Sarah was 'jesting' with Brendan about not being able to remember The Swamp and Brendan's reaction was a sneaky, "That's what you think." Then he opened the show saying, "I'm doing this for my friends who don't think I can." and launched into The Swamp which was amaaaazing! Hehe. I can't believe how busy Cavan was last night!! The room was completely rammed and then swarms and swarms of people wanted his autograph and a picture and we got trapped in the corner while all this was going on, haha. Crazy times. I really, really loved 'Alternative To Love' and I agree 'Tiny Spark' was amazing too. I hate it when people talk at gigs, why bother paying for a ticket? Looking forward to Dundalk (Part Two) tonight!!

I can't believe Brendan has been playing Baby On A Rug!! That is like the last song I ever thought he'd play live. It's gorgeous! And we got Insects Rule too!! AS IF. On top of The Swamp that I mentioned before I am insanely happy with the tracks we got to hear live! I love the addition of the fiddle too, works perfectly!

At the Whelan's gig last night. Place packed but that can't be hard place only holds 350. At the front as usual - Great to see BB up close - I even had to tell him where he put his wine Great show - great to hear different arrangements on all favs. A new song played too - great keyboards on - I can't remember the name of it sorry. A few people were taking filming it so no doubt it is on youtube already.

I do believe Dublin was my favourite of the 7 Ireland gigs I went to! It was nice to see a venue actually be full, it happens all too often that the place is empty and you end up being the only person clapping!
The new one was probably 'Happy Most Of The Time', the only other one that's not normally in the set was 'Hands'. I know I certainly speak for myself and the other 4 with me that we all had a mutual "wtfwtfwtf is this Hands?!?!" moment when they started playing it!"
