I have a few of the demos from the Alternative to Love sessions. The tracks came from an old Brendan Benson message board. I figure I have about half of the disc based on the track numbers. Does anyone have the whole thing?

All right this is what I was able to track down... The track #'s were from the mp3 tags. At the time it sounded like the person who posted these had the whole disc.
1. Spit It Out (chorus lyrics "Love Is A Lie and it fills you, looks at the highs, gonna kill you")
3. Chink The Armor
4. Biggest Fan (appears to be identical to record version)
7. What I'm Looking For (different intro, different mix)
9. Flesh And Bone (very different, piano based for the first half)
10. Between Us (has crazy guitar solo at the beginning, different mix)
11. Them And Me (appears to be very similar to record, just a different mix, Brendan's vocal is louder at the end)
12. Left And Right (very similar to released version)
14. Trouble With You
If someone has the rest of this disc I do have something really good to offer in trade.

Hmm... I'm not 100% sure what you're talking about here but I definitely have most of the tracks you've listed above. I *think* I collected them one by one though so I don't really know what might be missing and therefore whether I have it. Any ideas what the other tracks are?

From what I can remember at the time it sounded like the person had a demo cd of the entire record, plus the two unreleased tracks and a couple of b-sides. He posted the unreleased tracks first and than started on the rest of the disc but never finished. Based on the track numbers on the original mp3 files I am led to believe that there were at least 14 tracks on the disc. 9 of the tracks were posted so that leaves at least 5 unknown tracks. I'm guessing they are all songs off of Alternative to Love or b-sides from that record.

Unfortunately no. Most of those are Old Familar demos except Pony Ride which I received from a friend prior to Lapalco coming out.
The person who posted these original is still out there. I hope they come across this thread and can help us out.

How would one get a hold of those demos listed above?? Also the old familiar demos, cuz I have heard that the feel like takin you home now is much different....
